Stonework Mesquite Concrete and Masonry, mesquiteconcreteandmasonry.com, sales@mesquiteconcreteandmasonry.com

Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the Stonework Mesquite Concrete and Masonry website and any estimate, scheduling or work you arrange with us through it, by phone or in person. By using the site or hiring us, you agree to them.

If you don't agree, please don't use the site. You can still call us at (972) 402-6919 with questions before you decide anything.

In these terms, "we," "us" and "our" mean Stonework Mesquite Concrete and Masonry. "You" means the person using the site or the property owner who hires us.

What we do

We're a masonry contractor in Mesquite, TX. We work on brick, block, stone and concrete, including foundation repair, chimney and brick repair, tuckpointing, retaining walls, pavers, walkways, stone veneer, fireplaces and outdoor kitchens. You can see the full list of services on our home page and read more about our crew on our About page.

What you read on this site describes our work in general. It isn't a promise that a particular service suits your house, because we only know that once we've seen the job.

Estimates and pricing

We give free estimates at your property, and asking for one doesn't obligate you to anything. The estimate is based on what we can see and measure on the visit.

Masonry work often hides things until it's open, such as soft or failed mortar behind a sound face, rotted framing behind a chimney, poor soil under a slab or old footings in the way of a new wall. If we find a condition like that, we'll stop, show you what we found and explain the change in price or scope before we go on. We won't do extra work you haven't approved.

Any price on a website, flyer or ad is general information and not an offer. Your price is the one in your written estimate or contract, and it holds for the period stated there. After that we may need to update it, mostly because material costs change.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We'll give you a start date when you accept the estimate. That date is our best plan, not a guarantee, because rain, freezing weather and extreme heat affect how mortar and concrete set, and we won't lay or pour when conditions would weaken the work. Material deliveries and permit timing can move the date too.

If we need to reschedule, we'll tell you as soon as we know. If you need to cancel or move your job, please call us at (972) 402-6919 as early as you can.

If you cancel after we've ordered special materials or started work, you may owe for materials that can't be returned and for work already done. Your written estimate or contract sets out the details for your job.

Payment

The payment schedule, any deposit and the payment methods we accept are listed in your written estimate or contract. Final payment is due when the work described there is done, unless your contract says otherwise.

If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's settled. Texas law gives contractors certain rights to secure payment for work done on a property, and we may use them if a bill stays unpaid.

Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover

We stand behind our work under our satisfaction guarantee. If something about the finished job isn't right, call us and we'll come look at it. Any specific workmanship warranty for your job is written into your contract, and only that written warranty applies.

Brick, stone, block and many paving products carry their own warranties from their makers. We pass those along to you, but the maker, not us, decides those claims.

Some things are normal for masonry and concrete and aren't defects. These include small hairline cracks in concrete, slight color differences between new and old brick or mortar, natural variation in stone, and efflorescence, the white powder salts can leave on new masonry. We'll match existing work as closely as we can, but an exact match to aged brick or mortar usually isn't possible.

Our guarantee doesn't cover damage from ground movement, foundation settlement outside the work we did, drainage or plumbing problems, tree roots, storms, misuse, or later changes or repairs made by someone else.

Apart from what's written in your contract, the website and our services are provided as they are, and we make no other warranties, stated or implied, to the extent Texas law allows.

Limits on our liability

We carry insurance and take care on every job, but some risks come with the property. We aren't responsible for conditions that existed before we started and that we couldn't reasonably see, such as hidden structural damage, buried utilities or private lines that weren't marked, or problems in parts of the house we didn't work on.

To the extent Texas law allows, our total liability for any claim connected to a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost use of a space or rental income.

Nothing in these terms limits a right you have under Texas law that can't be waived.

Using this website

The articles, photos and descriptions on this site are general information about masonry and concrete work. They aren't engineering or structural advice for your house, so please talk with us, or with an engineer when a job calls for one, before you rely on them.

The text and photos on this site belong to Stonework Mesquite Concrete and Masonry. Please don't copy them for commercial use without our permission.

We may link to other websites, such as a city permit office. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for what's on them.

If we disagree

Most problems get solved with a phone call and a visit, so please start by calling us at (972) 402-6919 or reaching out through our Contact page. We'll come out, look at the issue and try to make it right.

If we can't settle it that way, we both agree to try mediation in good faith before going to court. If it still isn't resolved, either of us may bring the matter in a court in the Texas county where the work was done.

Governing law

These terms and any work we do are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to rules that would apply another state's law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the new version takes effect when it's posted on this page. A job already under contract stays under the terms in that contract.

If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
